I JUST READ...

Paper TownsPaper Towns by John Green
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So now I know what it means to be in high school in 2008. You are so fragile, gossamer, but also so immortal, infinite. I love the mirrors, the Whitman, the way class is only a minor interruption, the way everyone lived with stuff that should not be, the suckiness, the self absorption, the love. How could I get every kid I know to read this book, instead of watching Jersey Shore or Skins? Just to feel not alone, and then also to feel alone, but know that it is OK that sometimes alone is bad, but not forever. Will be rereading this as soon as my own copy comes.
P.S. my copy has this same girl on the cover, but she is done in shades of blue, and she is definitely NOT happy. Where did this cheery photo come from? This pic can't be Margo Roth Speigelman.
